There is a new wrestling club coming to Clarksville! An extension of Renzo Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Clarksville, the new Screaming Eagle Wrestling club has announced formation beginning Late Summer 2022. The club will begin practices at the Renzo Gracie Clarksville main gym located at 327B Warfield Boulevard in Clarksville while the Screaming Eagle Training Facility is completed in early Fall 2022.

Screaming Eagle Wrestling club will serve the growing wrestling community in the Clarksville, Hopkinsville, Oak Grove, and Fort Campbell area with the club first opening for ages 10 to 13. Future expansion of the program will include more age groups.

Head coach, Andrew Hansen, brings a storied and notable background to Screaming Eagle Wrestling with previous coaching experience in Washington DC with the Viking Wrestling Club where he was named 2020 Virginia High School League (VHSL) Scholastic State Boys Assistant Coach of the Year. Additionally, Hansen holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and a black belt in Judo.

Also joining the coach staff are multiple time IBJJF Open Gold Medalist and the 2022 IBJJF Pan American Champion Luke Backes, former collegiate division III wrestler Jarod Roubideaux, and former collegiate division I wrestler Christian Arellano, former collegiate wrestler and BJJ brown belt Jared Jackson.

During the soft launch period, Screaming Eagle Wrestling club will hold practices at the main Renzo Gracie Clarksville facility located at 327B Warfield Boulevard. Future plans include the opening of the Screaming Eagle Training Facility, an extension of Renzo Gracie Clarksville.

A membership drive will be announced in the coming weeks offering the first 50 signups a considerable discount for the inaugural season.

Screaming Eagle Wrestling looks forward to growing the club throughout the Fall and Winter with expected competition to begin in Spring 2023. During this time affiliation with both AAU and USA will be sought.
